Kitchen installation gold seal announced

All Independent kitchen installers that take pride in their work, will soon be able to apply for an industry Gold seal to mark their excellence in the furniture industry.
The Furniture Industry Research Association in response to requests received from the kitchen industry in general, will launch a FIRA Gold Installation Certification for independent retailers and builders, so they can benefit from this mark of distinction for Kitchen Installation services. The FIRA Gold Installation Certification will be awarded to high quality service providers and be backed by FIRA International, the furniture industry’s leading research body.

The certification will be awarded following an annual audit to ensure all necessary staff, work to the Industry best-practice, standards and legislation by adhering to a comprehensive technical manual developed by FIRA. This will help to reduce issues arising from the installation of a Kitchen, Bedroom or Bathroom and will ensure a consistent quality of fitting, while reviewing the company’s complaints system to help ensure the highest level of customer service.

The certification will include:

• A technical manual covering all aspects of kitchen installations, updated with all relevant legislation, industry standards and best working practices, to be used by the Kitchen installation team.
• An annual review of the complaints system to ensure it is robust and to help ensure the highest level of customer service
• An annual audit to check all staff are working to the same industry standards, thus reducing complaints.
• Full Membership of The Furniture Industry Research Association and all associated benefits, including use of the Gold membership logo.
